Furnaces Galore

by Inferis

Furnaces Galore adds copper, iron, gold, diamond and netherite furnaces, each smelting faster than the tier before it.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.4 – 26.3

What it does

Each new furnace is made from a different material, and every later tier is more expensive to craft because those materials are scarcer. The copper furnace is the first tier, and the iron, gold, diamond and netherite furnaces follow in order. Each tier is crafted from the one below it, so a player works up through the chain instead of jumping straight to the fastest block.

The default speed multipliers are set per tier, rising from the copper furnace up to netherite, which is the fastest. The values are kept in a configuration file, so server owners can change them. A catalyst item in the mod improves fuel efficiency, which offsets the faster burn rate that comes with higher tiers.

Furnaces Galore is a Fabric mod for 26.3, released under the MIT License and open source. It requires Fabric API and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.21.4 – 26.3, with 0.2.3-26.3 as the latest build.

Key features

  1. Five furnace tiers

Copper, iron, gold, diamond and netherite furnaces each smelt faster than the tier below.

  2. Configurable speedups

Each tier's speed multiplier is set in a config file, with the defaults rising through the tiers.

  3. Tier crafting chain

Each furnace is crafted from the previous tier, so players progress through the lower furnaces first.

  4. Furnace Catalyst

A catalyst item improves fuel efficiency, reducing how fast faster furnaces burn through fuel.

Use cases

Large smelting setups

Players who run many furnaces at once can pick a tier that matches the amount of ore they process.

Server economies

Server owners can tune the speed multipliers in the config to match their own progression.

Who it’s for: Players who want faster smelting without changing how other crafting works, and server owners who want to adjust furnace speed through the config file.

Yes. Fabric API is required, so it must be installed next to Furnaces Galore on a Fabric client or server.

Do servers need the mod installed?

Yes. Installation covers the server and each player's game.

Can the furnace speeds be changed?

Yes. The speedup for each tier is set in the configuration file, and the defaults rise through the tiers.
