Enchanted Warfare
Enchanted Warfare changes how melee combat works in Minecraft, adding attack sequences, timed recovery windows and new movement-based strikes to weapons.
What it does
Each weapon in the mod follows its own attack sequence, and different attacks carry their own collision boxes. Sprinting into the ground, jumping while attacking or looking down from five or more blocks above the ground each trigger a separate strike, with damage that scales with the fall or the speed of the approach. A preparation step before a swing and a recovery period after it set the rhythm of a fight, so timing matters more than button-mashing.
Other mechanics change how the hit itself plays out. Knockback pushes a target in a straight line rather than away from the cursor, and a weapon can parry a projectile when it lands on the blade. Air friction is removed for the attacker, which allows freer movement during a fight. The mod requires Fabric API and Fzzy Config, and it bundles Lodestone internally. It runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is not open source and is released with all rights reserved.
Key features
Weapon attack sequences
Each weapon carries its own ordered set of attacks, so combat rewards learning a weapon rather than repeating one swing.
Movement-based strikes
Sprinting, jumping and falling from height each produce a distinct attack, with damage multiplied by the speed or height involved.
Preparation and recovery timing
Attacks have a preparation step and a recovery period, which set the pace of an exchange between two combatants.
Projectile parrying
A weapon can deflect an incoming projectile when it strikes the blade at the right moment.
Directional knockback
Targets are pushed in a straight line from the attack, instead of away from the attacker's cursor.
