Durability Rarity
Durability Rarity gives tools, weapons and armor a randomized rarity tier that sets how durable each item is when it is crafted or found in loot.
What it does
Each new item receives a random rarity tier, and the tier changes its durability. Items range from brittle to nearly unbreakable, and legendary items also gain bonus attack speed and mining speed. The system is configurable through durabilityrarity-config.toml, so server owners can adjust the tiers and bonuses.
The mod applies to gear that is crafted, taken from loot chests, dungeon rewards and worldgen structures, and it supports most major loot and combat mods. Vanilla and modded gear both receive the rarity system, which suits survival, RPG and exploration-focused modpacks. It runs on Forge and NeoForge with a 1.20.1 – 1.21.10 range, and a visual update makes rarities easier to tell apart at a glance.
Durability Rarity needs both the server and every player to run it, since it is a client and server mod. It is released under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source. Its latest files are 1.3 for 1.20.4 on Forge and 1.3 for 1.21.10 on NeoForge.

Use cases
Loot and reward progression
Dungeon rewards and loot chests can hand out gear whose durability varies, so each find carries some risk and some upside.
Modpack balancing
Server owners can tune the tiers and bonuses in the config file to fit a Forge or NeoForge modpack.
Who it’s for: The mod suits survival players, RPG and exploration-focused modpacks, and server owners who want gear durability to depend on rarity.
How it compares
Epic RPG: Rarity System is a Forge-only mod for 1.20.1 – 1.20.6 with the same client and server environment and an All rights reserved license. Sol's Item Rarity covers Forge and NeoForge across 1.16.5 – 1.21.11, also client and server and not open source. Randomized Armor Loot is server-side required with client optional and released under the MIT License, for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, so it differs from this mod mainly in where it must be installed.
