Diagonal Corners
by RazorPlay01
Diagonal Corners replaces the blocky L-shaped corners that vanilla glass panes, iron bars and copper bars form with smooth diagonal connections on the client.
What it does
When three of these blocks meet in an L shape, the mod swaps the sharp corner for a clean diagonal join. The change is visual only: the client draws the corner differently, and the server keeps the original blocks. Builds with glass windows, railings, greenhouses and towers are the main cases where the difference shows.
The mod is client-side only, so only the player needs it; a server does not have to install it, and players on a server without it see the normal corners. It is open source under the MIT License and needs Fabric API. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge across 11 release versions, and the latest file for both loaders targets 26.2, dated 2026-07-18. Configuration is not needed.
Key features
Diagonal glass corners
Glass panels, iron bars and copper bars that meet in an L shape are drawn with a smooth diagonal connection instead of a square corner.
Rendering only
The change affects how the corner is drawn, so the blocks, their crafting and the world data stay as they are.
Resource pack friendly
The mod works alongside texture packs, so the corner shapes follow the textures the player already uses.
Lightweight rendering
Only the drawing of these blocks changes, which keeps the extra work on the client small.

Diagonal Corners is a lightweight client-side only mod for Minecraft 1.19.2+ that greatly improves the visual appearance of glass, iron bars, and copper bars. In vanilla Minecraft, placing three of these blocks in an L-shape creates ugly, blocky corners. This mod removes those sharp corners and replaces them with…
