Discord Integration
Discord Integration links the chat of a Minecraft server with a channel on a Discord server, so messages flow in both directions.
What it does
Server owners point the mod at a Discord channel, and chat lines typed on the server appear there while messages from the channel show up in game. Death and advancement messages can be sent to the same channel. The mod also offers a webhook mode, which posts messages under each player's name and avatar instead of under a single bot account.
The mod runs on the server only, so players join with no extra install. It needs Fabric API on Fabric and works on Forge, NeoForge and the Paper and Spigot server platforms. Files exist for 28 release versions, 1.12.2 – 26.2, and the code is under the MIT License and is open source. Because the project is on life support, most recent updates come through GitHub pull requests, mainly to keep up with new Minecraft versions.
Optional integrations include Dynmap, LuckPerms, Styled Chat, Vanish and Vanishmod. Five other catalog mods require Discord Integration, among them Mine Mine no Mi: Role Assigner, Cobblemon Spawn Notification Discord Integration and Autonickname.
Key features
Two-way chat bridge
Messages sent in the configured Discord channel appear in game, and chat from the server is forwarded to the channel.
Webhook mode
Chat can be posted through a Discord webhook so each message carries the sending player's name and avatar.
Slash and text commands
Built-in commands let players and admins run actions from Discord and from the server console.
Death and advancement messages
Deaths and advancements can be relayed to a channel, so players outside the game can follow along.
Player timeout detection
On Forge the mod can flag players who stop responding; the author notes this may not always work.
Developer API
Other mods can send messages to Discord and register their own commands through the mod's API.
