CustomDurability
by GravityIO
CustomDurability lets server owners and players set the durability of any item, from a single diamond pickaxe up to whole tool and armor groups selected by item tag.
What it does
Durability values are changed with commands. A single item can be given a new maximum, and a wildcard or item tag can apply one value to a whole group, such as every diamond tool. Running the reset command with no argument clears every configured durability, while adding an item tag clears only that group. Listing the tags shows the new durabilities that are in effect.
The mod can also keep the vanilla armor multipliers or drop them, which changes how much durability armor gains per piece. Settings return to the vanilla defaults on request, so a world can be restored after testing. The mod is built for Fabric and runs on integrated servers, dedicated servers and clients, and it requires Fabric API on every side. Files cover 1.19.4 – 1.21 under the MIT License, and the code is open source.
Key features
Per-item durability
A command sets the maximum durability of one item, such as a diamond pickaxe, to a chosen value.
Tag-based groups
Item tags such as the diamond tools group let one command change every item in that set at once.
Wildcard targeting
Wildcards select items by namespace, so a single entry can cover all the vanilla tools of a material.
Reset to vanilla
Running the reset command without an argument clears all custom values, and naming a tag clears only that group.
Armor multiplier option
Armor can keep the vanilla durability multipliers or use the configured values instead, as the server chooses.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to tune tool and armor wear, and modpack authors who need a quick way to test different durability values.
How it compares
NoDura is server-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for Fabric on 1.19.2 – 1.21, so players join without installing it. No Tool Durability is also server-side only and open source under the MIT License, but its files cover 26.1.2 – 26.2. IG: Durability Multiplier is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, runs on client and server, and covers 1.20.1 – 26.3, where CustomDurability sets exact values rather than multiplying them.
