CobbleZones
by Zkev1
CobbleZones lets a server owner mark out areas where walking across chosen terrain blocks starts a direct wild Pokemon battle, with each zone holding its own encounter rules.
What it does
Zones are defined in game with a wand that selects two corner positions, and saved zones show their outlines so the area can be checked before it goes live. A full in-game editor handles the rest of the zone management. Each zone keeps its own Pokemon pool, grouped by rarity, and can be tied to forms, levels, weather, time and other settings. Trigger blocks, fluids and other terrain can start an encounter, and when a managed Pokemon is left behind after a run-away it is removed cleanly instead of lingering.
CobbleZones requires Cobblemon and runs on the client and the server together, so both sides need it. Cobblemon PokeNav is an optional dependency. The mod is published for Fabric and NeoForge, with files for 1.21.1, and its code is under the MIT License, though it is not open source.
Key features
In-game zone wand
Two positions picked with the wand define a zone's boundaries, and saved zones can be previewed with outlines.
Per-zone encounter pools
Each zone sets its own Pokemon pool by rarity category, with forms, levels, weather and time conditions.
Direct battle encounters
Stepping onto a configured terrain block in a zone starts a wild battle without a separate prompt.
Per-zone titles and messages
Titles, effects, messages and encounter settings can be set separately for each zone.
One config file per zone
Every zone is stored in its own file, and default templates speed up creating new ones.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

Use cases
Custom RPG-style maps
Caves, lakes, ruins and boss areas can each get encounter rules that suit the place.
Progression-based regions
A server can open regions in stages, with encounters that match the player's progress.
Who it’s for: Server administrators, adventure map builders and Cobblemon content authors who need firmer say over where wild encounters take place and how each area plays.
How it compares
Radiation Zones is a Fabric and NeoForge mod for 1.21.1 under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and it is open source. ArcadiaGuard is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.1 under the MIT License, and it is open source, though it covers protection rather than encounters. Custom Areas is server-side only for Fabric 1.21.1 and is not open source, so players join without it.
