What it does

Developers get a shared set of NeoForge 1.21.1 capabilities from the library, covering durable blocks, recipe parsing, console log capture and debug commands. Features are organized as modules, and a module is activated only when a mod asks for it, through an annotation on the main mod class. Modules can also be forced on, ignoring the config file switch, or left to a controlled config file.

The durable block system is the largest part. Instead of relying on a BlockEntity alone, DurableBlock stores durability in a LivingEntity subclass called DurableBlockEntity, which keeps persistent data and can receive damage. Durable block entities are registered with a client tracking range of 0, so only the server knows they exist.

Jade durability display needs the Jade API dependency to show durable blocks. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, is published for NeoForge only, and runs on client and server. Files target 1.21.1 alone, and the latest is 1.1.0 for 1.21.1, dated 2026-08-08.

Key features

  1. Durable block system

Blocks can carry durability values and damage resistance, with automatic recovery after damage.

  2. Recipe parsing

A recipe parsing module reads recipes so other mods can work with their contents.

  3. Console log capture

A console log capture module collects log output for inspection while the game runs.

  4. Annotation-activated modules

Each module loads only when a mod requests it with an annotation, and the config file can override that switch.

Questions

Does Diet - AppleSeed Edition need CloudWorks API?

Yes. CloudWorks API is required by Diet - AppleSeed Edition, so it must be installed next to that mod on NeoForge 1.21.1.

Does CloudWorks API have to be installed on both sides?

Yes. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod.

Which Jade dependency is needed for durable block display?

Jade durability display requires the Jade API dependency to show durable blocks, and Jade API must be present alongside it.
