Ceramic Shears adds a set of shears crafted from clay, which players can make on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.

What it does

The shears are made from two clay balls, and a furnace turns the clay part into a usable material before the final recipe. Ceramic Shears work like vanilla shears but last 75% as long, and the durability can be changed in the config since mod version 1.6.0.0. Clay-based shears give early-game players an option that does not need iron or other metal.

The mod requires Cloth Config API and Fabric API on Fabric, plus Mod Menu as an optional dependency for in-game settings. It needs to be installed on the client and on the server. Files are published for 31 release versions across 1.14.4 – 26.3, with 26.3-4.2.1.0 as the latest build for each loader. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the project has a wiki that explains the crafting steps and settings.
