Audio Extension for FancyMenu v2
by Keksuccino
With Audio Extension for FancyMenu installed, FancyMenu layouts can include audio elements that play sounds, playlists and shuffled tracks.
What it does
Each audio element can hold several sounds, which play one after another as a playlist. The index of each sound sets its position, so reordering the indexes changes the sequence, and giving several sounds the same index makes them play in random order.
Every audio element can be routed to a Minecraft audio channel such as master or music, and each sound can receive its own base volume. Elements can loop, play only once per session, or be muted and unmuted with the toggle mute audio button action.
The mod requires Auudio and FancyMenu. Fabric additionally needs Fabric API. It is published for Fabric and Forge across 16 release versions, 1.16.2 – 1.20.4, and the code is under a custom license, so it is not open source.
Key features
Playlist playback
Several sounds can be placed in one audio element and played in sequence as a playlist.
Index-based ordering
Sound indexes control the play order, and shared indexes produce random shuffle playback.
Audio channel selection
Each audio element can target a Minecraft channel such as master or music.
Per-sound base volume
The base volume of each sound can be set separately to balance levels within a layout.
Loop and single-play options
Audio elements can loop or be limited to one play per session, plus a mute toggle action.

Use cases
Menu background music
A layout can loop a playlist of tracks while the title screen is open.
Shuffled ambience
Sounds that share an index rotate in random order across a menu session.
Who it’s for: Players who build custom title screens and menus with FancyMenu and want audio in them. Only the client needs the extension, so it is used on the player side of multiplayer servers too.
How it compares
FancyMenu System Interactions Addon is also client-side only and supports Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.18.2 – 1.20.6, but it is not open source and covers interactions rather than audio. Mod Sound Volume Options is client-side only on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.16.4 – 26.2, and it is open source under the MIT License, adjusting volumes rather than building audio elements.
