FancyMenu System Interactions Addon
by Crystal Nest
Modpack creators can give FancyMenu menus buttons that act on the player's operating system, such as copying, moving, deleting or fetching files, through the FancyMenu System Interactions Addon.
What it does
The addon adds actions that reach the user's operating system: copying, moving, renaming, deleting, opening and fetching files and folders, unpacking ZIP archives, and running CMD or terminal commands. Menu designs built with FancyMenu can use them to go beyond what the base menu system offers. The addon is client-side only, so only the player's client runs it, and it requires Fabric API, FancyMenu and Konkrete.
Because these actions can be used maliciously, the addon is opt-in. It stays disabled until the individual Minecraft user chooses to enable it with the Enable button, and each user is asked on first launch. A modpack cannot ship its configuration with the addon already switched on. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across seven release versions, 1.18.2 – 1.20.6, under a custom license that is not open source.
