Ascension Mastery
by QiShui48
Ascension Mastery is a Fabric RPG mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that adds a Skill Point system and a large Skill Tree, so exploration earns progression.
What it does
Players earn skill points by venturing into unknown biomes, tasting foods they have never eaten, looting structures such as strongholds and dungeons, claiming first kills of mobs and defeating bosses. Points are spent on branches of a skill tree that grants enchantments, combat arts and utility abilities, including fire magic, aerial combat, double jumping and summoning wolf packs. Advancements in vanilla are also part of the progression.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and is meant to change the experience of exploring the vanilla game rather than to add grinding. The server and every player need the mod installed. Fabric API is required. Files target 1.20.1 only, and the latest Fabric file is 1.4.5, published on 2026-03-07; the project is still being updated, with planned work on a larger tree, an active skill system and configuration files that let players change values.
Key features
Skill Point progression
Points are awarded for exploring biomes, eating new foods, looting structures and defeating bosses.
Large skill tree
The tree is built from branches that grant enchantments, fire and aerial combat skills, and utility effects.
Utility enchantments
Enchantments on vanilla tools add functions such as auto-smelting, instead of only simple stat boosts.
