Advanced Skills
by iMoonDay
Advanced Skills gives players a set of combat abilities that they earn through Skill Experience, with skill slots that commands can reconfigure.
What it does
Skills come in several families. Rebound skills return the first damage a player takes with a set chance inside a short window. Displacement skills cover dashes, teleports, dodges, jumps and a grappling hook. Control skills include imprisoning and slowing enemies, and silencing them.
Passive skills give self-healing, wall climbing and stealth, and they run alongside active skills. Enhancement skills add effects such as seeing through walls, ignoring liquids and negative resistance. Active skills consume resources and most go on cooldown after use. Players earn Skill Experience and sometimes learn a new skill at random, and server owners or players can change slot types and skill slots with commands.
The mod is published for Fabric only, for 1.20.1, with version 1.0.1 as the latest file. Both client and server need it. Fabric Language Kotlin and MaLiLib are required, and oωo (owo-lib) is optional. The code is open source under the MIT License.
