Archery Expansion
Archery Expansion adds a tiered set of bows and arrows, from wooden bows with flint arrows up to netherite bows with netherite-coated arrows, along with a Quickdraw mechanic and Cursed Bows.
What it does
Each bow tier pairs with an arrow type: wooden bows fire flint arrows, gold bows gold-coated arrows, iron bows iron-coated arrows, diamond bows diamond-coated arrows and netherite bows netherite-coated arrows. Higher tiers carry more durability and deal more damage, but draw more slowly. The mod also adds a small arrow loading meter beneath the crosshair while a bow charges, and bows can be repaired on an anvil with their matching material, as with other tools. Individual bow stats can be altered through a datapack.
The mod is built around Quickdraw, a mechanic in which a shooter who fires a bow takes more damage from incoming shots for a short time afterward. A Speed effect applies while the bow charges. Cursed Bows are a separate line that replaces the vanilla bow item when added, and they generally have lower stats than normal bows. The arrows follow the same tier scheme as the bows, and some of them turn up as loot in structures such as outposts, mansions and ancient cities, along with end cities and bastions.
Archery Expansion requires Fabric API. It is released for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 only. The code is open source under the Apache License 2.0, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod.

There are also Cursed Bows, wielded by Skeletons, that have overall lower stats than normal bows. Note that this is an override of the Vanilla…
