Sun and Moon Celestial Configuration

by InfernalStudios

Sun and Moon Celestial Configuration lets players scale the sun and the moon in their sky, by height and width, with a config file.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltClient-side onlyApache License 2.0Open source1.16.5 – 1.21.1

What it does

Default settings leave both celestial bodies at their normal size, so the mod changes nothing until a player edits the config. Each body can be scaled on its own, with separate height and width multipliers for the sun and for the moon. The author describes the purpose as a visual change to the sky that stays out of the way of gameplay.

The mod is a client-side only install: only the client needs it, and servers run without it. It works on Forge, NeoForge, Fabric and Quilt for the game versions 1.16.5 – 1.21.1. The Fabric build requires Fabric API and Cloth Config, while the other loaders require Cloth Config API. The code is open source under the Apache License 2.0, and the source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Sun size multipliers

Separate height and width multipliers change how large the sun appears in the sky.

  2. Moon size multipliers

Separate height and width multipliers change how large the moon appears, independent of the sun.

  3. Default unchanged sky

Out of the box both bodies keep their normal size until the config is edited.

  4. Config screen

Sizes are set through a config file, with a Cloth Config screen available on loaders that use it.
