Additional Attributes

by Cadentem

Additional Attributes gives Forge and NeoForge players extra attributes that scale enchantments and spell levels, with values read from the game's attribute system.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.19.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

Each added attribute reads its base value from an enchantment or the level of the spell in use. Modifiers from the three spell attribute types are collected together before the final value is computed, and the result is not rounded, so fractional spell levels are not trimmed to whole numbers. Spells that reach zero level cannot be cast, and these attributes apply to every entity, not only the player.

The mod covers looting, respiration and fishing lure with their luck counterpart, and it changes how spell level attributes are named. The respiration attribute was removed because vanilla now has an oxygen attribute. Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks is an optional dependency that adds spell-related attributes, and the mod is published for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1 across five release versions with files for 1.19.2, 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1. It is a client and server mod released under the MIT License and is open source, with public links for the source code and issue tracker.

Key features

  1. Looting attribute

A looting attribute adds to the looting value that enchantment-based drops use.

  2. Fishing lure and luck

Fishing lure and fishing luck attributes affect how fishing rolls are calculated.

  3. Multiply base and total modifiers

Multiply base and multiply total modifiers only take effect when the matching enchantment is present, and additions are affected by multiply total.

  4. Rarity rolls from attribute values

The attribute value sets a chance between neighboring rarities, from common up to ancient, while a value of exactly 0 does nothing.
