Additional Enchantments
by Cadentem
Additional Enchantments adds new enchantments to the game, with effects that trigger on equipment changes, entity checks and loot conditions.
What it does
Additional Enchantments adds new enchantments to the game. Several of them use new trigger points, including changes to the equipped item, so an effect can fire when a player swaps gear. Most of the enchantments in the mod attach data to the target entity and handle their logic from that data, which lets them be checked against a specific mob or item.
The mod also adds loot item conditions for finer checks. These cover entity types, living entities, items and experience orbs, and they can match a direct attacker or an attacking player. Item predicates can check the item an entity holds, so a loot rule can depend on what a mob was carrying. The author notes that some enchantment effects may not combine well with other trigger points, so compatibility with other enchantment mods is limited.
Additional Enchantments is open source under the MIT License and runs on Client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, across six release versions 1.19.2 – 26.1.2, with the latest Forge file at 1.3.2 for 1.20.1 and the latest NeoForge file at 2.0.1 for 26.1.2.
Key features
New enchantments
The mod adds enchantments that can be applied to tools, weapons and armor through the usual enchanting routes.
Equipment change triggers
Some enchantment effects fire when the equipped item changes, giving them a trigger point that vanilla enchantments lack.
Entity-aware loot conditions
New loot conditions check entity types, living entities, items and experience orbs, and can match a direct or attacking player.
Item predicate checks
Item predicates can test the item held by an entity, so a loot rule can depend on equipment.

Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Custom loot tables
Pack makers can write loot rules that depend on the entity that dropped the loot or on the player who attacked it.
Combat builds
Players who want enchantments that react to changing gear or to the targeted mob can use the mod's trigger points.
Who it’s for: Players who want more enchantment options and pack makers who write loot tables with entity-based conditions. Servers need the mod on both sides, since the environment is client and server.
