Way to Grave
by XAVI333
Way to Grave keeps a player's items safe after death by placing them in a grave at the death location, and it stores a share of experience for later use.
What it does
When a player dies, the items in the inventory are placed in a grave block at the spot where the death happened, so they are not lost to the ground or to other players. The grave can be configured so that only its owner may open it, and a Recovery Compass enchanted to point at the grave can be granted at respawn to help the player find it again. A chosen percentage of experience is stored as well, with 50 percent as the default.
Server owners set the experience share and the owner-only rule in the mod's configuration. The mod needs only the server to run, since the grave logic lives there. Players who join a server running it need no installation, and a data pack build is also available for servers that cannot load a mod loader.
Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and they target the game versions 1.21.5 – 26.3. The mod is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0 license and is not open source, so redistribution of modified copies is not permitted.
