HyperGrave
by Sul4ur
When a player dies, HyperGrave places a grave that holds the player's items and experience, and the grave can be found again with its grave ID.
What it does
On death, a grave is generated for the player, and the grave stores the items and XP taken from them. Each grave carries a number after its name, called a GID (grave ID), which is unique among all graves in the world. Graves despawn after 90 minutes by default. The mod is a data pack, so it is not tied to a single loader: it is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, for 12 release versions across 1.21.5 – 26.3.
HyperGrave needs the server to set certain game rules, such as Keep Inventory and Immediate Respawn, so that items and respawn work as the grave system expects. The mod sets these automatically, and the server owner only needs to check that the rules hold the correct values in each dimension. Players who want to run its commands need the GID to target a grave, and most commands begin with the function hygrave:internal.
The server must run the mod, while players may add it to see the grave model in their own client. The license is the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and the project is open source. The source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Graves on death
A grave is created at the place of death and collects the player's items and experience.
Grave IDs
Each grave has a GID that separates it from every other grave, so commands can address one grave at a time.
Automatic despawn
Graves disappear after 90 minutes by default, and the timer can be changed in the configuration.
Crafting recipes
A crafting recipe is available for useful items from the mod, so players can find out what each one does.
