World Reset
by Libreh
World Reset is a Fabric and Quilt utility that resets a running server world on a timer, or when a player enters a portal, earns an advancement or an entity dies.
What it does
Resets run on the server without closing it. A reset is started by a command with a duration such as 15s, 3m, 2h, 7d or a combination like 1h30m, and a custom predicate can restrict who or what counts. A timer can be stopped with the stop command and a stop predicate. The trigger types cover both starting and stopping a reset: a player enters a portal block, such as minecraft:end_portal, a player earns an advancement, for example minecraft:end/kill_dragon, or an entity dies, for example minecraft:ender_dragon.
Settings define the origin dimension, the world spawn, a biome or structure to place it near, the player state that is reset and the world pool size. Filters can narrow a trigger, for instance counting only survival players who enter the End portal. Integration with the Fabric Permissions API lets permission systems such as LuckPerms and PlayerRoles supply the predicates.
The mod is server-side only: players join without installing it. It needs Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, and the Fabric Permissions API is bundled inside the mod. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt across 11 release versions, 1.21.1 – 26.3, and are released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source.
Key features
Timed server resets
A reset runs on a timer set with durations in seconds, minutes, hours, days or combinations, and the server keeps running.
Portal and advancement triggers
Players entering a portal block or earning an advancement can start or stop a reset, and a predicate can restrict which players count.
Entity death triggers
A reset can start when an entity of a chosen type dies, such as the Ender Dragon, with an optional predicate for entity matching.
Spawn and pool settings
Server owners choose the origin dimension, the new world spawn near a biome or structure, and the size of the world pool.
