Vanilla Tweaker
Vanilla Tweaker, a Fabric mod for 1.20.1, changes how several vanilla mechanics behave through a single configuration file that can be reloaded without restarting.
What it does
Configuration controls the timings and drops that vanilla uses. Server owners can set how long a magma block keeps its heat, how long dropped items stay before they despawn, and whether they never despawn at all. Item despawn times can be raised above the vanilla limit, and dropped items can be given per-item chances for specific food sources such as rotten flesh, glistening melon slices and poisonous potatoes.
The file accepts a removal list written in the form minecraft:item, so unwanted entries can be dropped from a setting. Villager reputation decay is adjustable as a multiplier instead of a simple on or off switch. A respawn-point message can be enabled for hardcore worlds. Changes are applied with the reload command, and the author states the config code was rewritten to be cleaner and harder to misconfigure.
Installation needs Fabric API. The mod is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.20 and 1.20.1, and the latest Fabric file is 1.0.0 for 1.20.1, published on 2023-07-25.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to change specific vanilla timings and drops without editing game code, on Fabric 1.20.1 servers that also run Fabric API.
How it compares
Difficulty Tweaker is server-side only, open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and covers 1.17 – 1.20.1 on Fabric and Quilt, so it targets difficulty rather than item and timing rules. Easy Tweak is also server-side only and open source under the MIT License, with Fabric files for 1.20 – 1.20.1, which overlaps with this mod's versions. Particle Tweaker is client-side only and not open source, with files for 1.21.9 – 26.3, so it does not apply to the server.
