Particle Tweaker

by Zellior

Particle Tweaker lets players change the size and number of Minecraft particle effects from a configuration menu, on the client only.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.9 – 26.3

What it does

The mod gives control over vanilla particle effects. In its menu, the size and amount of each particle type can be set separately, and the changes apply at once without a restart. Vanilla behavior can be restored in one step, and the particles are searchable, which makes it easier to find the one being tuned among the many types the game has.

Two sets of settings cover the range of uses. Lower values can reduce visual clutter and help on lower-end systems, while higher values allow exaggerated effects for cinematics, PvP builds or simply fun. A danger mode opens far more configuration than the standard menu, with values reaching well past 100 times the default. The mod works with vanilla particle types and needs no changes on the server.

Installation requires Fabric API and Mod Menu alongside the mod. Particle Tweaker is client-side only, released under the MIT License, and is not open source. Its files target 1.21.9 – 26.3 on Fabric, with 26.3-1.0 as the latest build.

Key features

  1. Size and amount controls

Each particle effect can have its size and count adjusted independently of the others.

  2. Instant changes

Edits take effect immediately, and a single action brings back the default vanilla behavior.

  3. Searchable particle list

A search field narrows the list of particle types, so a specific effect can be found quickly.

  4. Danger mode

An optional mode exposes far more settings, allowing extreme effects for chaos or cinematic work.

Use cases

Cleaner visuals

Reducing particle counts clears up busy scenes such as large farms, battles or crowded spawn areas.

Cinematic recordings

Enlarged or multiplied effects make explosions, magic and weather more prominent in recorded footage.

Who it’s for: Players who want to tune particle effects to their own taste, from calmer visuals to heavy effects, and players on lower-end hardware who want fewer particles to draw.
