Sword Parry
by Zellior
Sword Parry lets a player holding a sword enchanted with Parry deflect incoming projectiles back at enemies when the swing is timed correctly.
What it does
Parry is a new enchantment that turns sword timing into a defensive move. A player holding an enchanted sword can deflect incoming projectiles, including arrows, tridents, fireballs and wither skulls, which are redirected back toward the enemy. Projectiles from shulkers are not affected. A successful parry produces visual sparks so the player can see it happen.
Parry has three levels. The second level deflects with double speed damage. The third creates a slowing field around the player while still deflecting with double speed damage. The enchantment can be obtained through trading with an enchanter, so it does not depend on finding it in the world.
Sword Parry is a Fabric mod with files for 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2, 26.3 and 1.21.11, and the latest file is 1.0 for 26.3. It is server-side only, so players join without installing anything. The code is released under the MIT License, but the mod is not open source.
