Players who fight the Ender Dragon meet a stronger boss in True Ending - Ender Dragon Overhaul, which raises its health, adds new attacks and changes the fight in several phases.

What it does

The overhaul replaces the vanilla Ender Dragon fight with a tougher version. Its health rises from 200 HP to 300 HP, boss music plays to every player on the center island, and ambient particles surround the arena during the fight. A final phase lets a player levitate and land the last blow in the air while the dragon hovers above the ground.

Damage from the dragon is scaled by the game difficulty, so Hard mode makes the fight harder while the milder setting makes it gentler. Settings such as the dragon's health can be changed from a settings menu opened with the /function true ending: settings command in chat. Servers must run True Ending, while players may leave it out. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 23 release versions, 1.19.4 – 26.1.2, and is also available as a data pack for server platforms. The mod is released under a custom license and is not open source.

  1. Higher dragon health

    The Ender Dragon has 300 HP instead of the vanilla 200, lengthening every fight.

  2. Dive attacks

    A dragon dive sends a large shockwave when it hits the ground, and a triple dive variant appears when the dragon perches at 75% health or lower.

  3. Fireball and laser attacks

    A chained Dragon Fireball attack and a large laser attack add new ways for the dragon to threaten the arena.

  4. Progressive phases

    New phases raise the dragon's difficulty as the fight goes on, ending with a hovering final phase.
