Vampirism Iron's Spells Compatibility
by xsharov_
Vampirism Iron's Spells Compatibility connects the Vampirism mod with the magic system of Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, so vampire players can cast spells on their blood.
What it does
Blood-based casting is the core of the link. A vampire caster can use blood to reduce spell cooldowns, fire a blood ray that bites a target, and restore blood after a cast. Ray Siphoning and Devour restore blood to the vampire, and the amount they restore can be set in the config. By default, a vampire pays mana for a Blood School spell, and the option alwaysUseBloodForVampireBloodSpells switches non-ray casts to blood instead.
Holy spells receive special handling. A Holy spell that hits a Vampirism NPC vampire deals twice its damage, no matter who cast it, while Holy healing hurts vampire casters and targets and cancels the matching heal. The mod keeps track of cast heal correlation state, bounds it and clears it over the lifecycle of each cast. Devour's configurable mana multiplier applies only to vampire casters, and Ray Siphoning animates toward the caster rather than away from it.
The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge, for game versions 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and runs on client and server. Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks and Vampirism are both required. Source code and the issue tracker are public, and the code is under the MIT License.
