Trowel Continued

by SwornHero

Trowel Continued is a Fabric building tool that places a random compatible block from the hotbar each time a player right-clicks a block face while holding the trowel.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source26.2

What it does

The trowel is a handheld item that fills a block face with a block picked at random from the compatible blocks in the player's hotbar. Instead of placing every block by hand, a single stroke produces textured walls, paths, roofs and natural-looking structures. The item uses a custom texture and handheld model.

The tool works in Survival and Creative mode and consumes the blocks it places in Survival. It runs in singleplayer, on dedicated servers and in multiplayer. Trowel Continued is an updated continuation of TheEnderCore's original Trowel, brought to current Fabric releases, and its design draws on the trowel tool from Quark.

The mod requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, and it is open source under the MIT License. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Fabric, and the only game version listed is 26.2.

Key features

  1. Random block placement

Right-clicking a block face places a random compatible block taken from the hotbar, filling the surface in one action.

  2. Survival block consumption

In Survival the placed blocks are removed from the inventory, so the tool follows normal material costs.

  3. Singleplayer and multiplayer

The trowel behaves the same in singleplayer, on dedicated servers and in multiplayer sessions.

  4. Custom trowel model

The item has its own texture and a handheld model, and the artwork was made for the mod.
