Immersive Armors
by Luke100000
With Immersive Armors installed, players can wear a set of armor pieces that go well beyond the plain vanilla designs, including ones with capes, custom models and special effects.
What it does
The mod adds a large group of armor sets that are meant to look and work like the vanilla equipment they sit beside. Several pieces have their own effects: one set can enter a berserk state that raises melee damage as health drops, another reflects attacks back at the attacker, a spiked set damages anyone who strikes it, and a steampunk set includes a hostile radar, a double jump and steam-powered fall protection. Crafting recipes appear in the vanilla recipe book, and enchanting, repairing and dyeing behave the same way they do for vanilla armor.
The mod requires Fabric API. Cloth Config API is optional and only adds configuration screens. Immersive Armors runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 9 release versions, 1.16.5 – 26.2, and the code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source. Source code and an issue tracker are public.
Key features
Themed armor sets
Sets range from a light skeleton-style armor to a heavy plate set, a wool set and a steampunk set with gears and brass.
Set-specific effects
Effects include berserk melee damage, bounce-back of incoming attacks, spike damage to attackers and divine protection.
Vanilla recipe book support
Every armor piece is registered in the vanilla recipe book, so crafting follows the usual menu flow.
Vanilla-style item handling
Enchanting, repairing and dyeing apply to the armor pieces in the same way as to vanilla armor.
