Carpet Takeneko Addition is a Fabric server-side mod that extends the Carpet mod with extra commands and rules for server owners.

What it does

The mod is a set of additional Carpet rules and commands, reintroducing behaviors from earlier Carpet and TNCA versions. Under default configuration it changes some vanilla behavior, so server owners should check the rules before enabling them. Server-side only means only the server needs the mod, and players join without installing anything.

Carpet Takeneko Addition requires Carpet on the same Minecraft version, and newer Carpet builds are recommended when available. It is published for Fabric across 8 release versions, 1.16.5 – 1.21.1, under the MIT License, and the source code is open. Latest file is 0.5.1 for 1.21.1, released 2024-08-16.

Key features

  1. Mob spawn command

    A mobSpawn command lets server owners change the conditions under which mobs appear.

  2. Fake player removal

    A rule removes fake players using regular expressions or string inclusion rules.

  3. Chat order check bypass

    A rule bypasses the chat message order check, which helps when pasting schematics from external tools on servers. A JVM argument is needed on 1.19 to make it take effect.
