TFC Metal Tools adds the multi-part metal tools and weapons that TerraFirmaCraft players assemble from separate pieces, with handles, bindings, wires and small fittings.
What it does
Metal tools and weapons in this addon are built from several dozen elements that must be joined together, rather than crafted in a single step. The addon adds parts such as handles, crossguards, pommels, leather bindings, metal wires, rings and rivets, and forged anvil work produces the finished tool.
The addon requires Lychee, TFC More Items and TerraFirmaCraft, so it only works alongside the TerraFirmaCraft base. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge on 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with 1.0.4 as the latest Forge file and 1.0.5 as the latest NeoForge file. The environment is client and server, so every player and the server need it, and it is released under the MIT License without being open source.

Multi-part weapons
Swords and other weapons gain separate crossguard and pommel components that are assembled into the finished item.
Handles and bindings
Handles, leather bindings and metal wires can be added to tools as individual pieces before they are completed.
Smaller fittings
Rings and rivets are added as small items that feed into the recipes for larger metal tools.
Anvil forging
The forged anvil is the step that turns the assembled parts into a finished metal tool.

Building a full weapon set
Players working through TerraFirmaCraft's metalworking can craft each part of a sword or tool and join them into one weapon.
Who it’s for: Players who already run TerraFirmaCraft with its companion item addons and want more detailed metal tool and weapon crafting. Server owners running this pack need the mod installed on the server and on every client.
How it compares
Metalworking is a NeoForge-only option for 1.21.1 that is not open source, so it does not cover the Forge build. Enchanting With TFC is open source under the MIT License and works on Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 only, adding enchantments instead of tool parts.
