Tab Tweaks
With Tab Tweaks installed, the player list shown on the Tab key can be trimmed, reshaped and customized on the client.
What it does
Tab Tweaks changes the Tab / Player List HUD that Minecraft draws while a key is held. Options cover the maximum number of players listed, removing the header and footer text, hiding player heads, showing heads only for non-player entities, changing how head hats render, and hiding objectives or ping values. Each option can be switched on or off to fit a particular layout.
The mod runs on the client alone, so a server does not need it and players on any server can use it. It is published for Fabric and NeoForge across 20 release versions 1.20 – 26.2, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and the source code is open source. It requires Fabric API, Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) to run.

Use cases
Cleaner list on busy servers
A player on a large server can cap the number of entries and drop extra decoration to read names quickly.
Minimal HUD for screenshots
Removing the header, footer and heads gives a plain player list for recording or screenshots.
Who it’s for: Players who want to control what the Tab player list displays. Server owners do not need to install it, since only the client reads these options.
How it compares
Tab Name Tag is also client-side only and open source, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, with files for 1.20 – 26.3 on Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt. Ping View is client-side only, open source under the MIT License, and runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.21.6 – 26.3. TAB Compass is client-side only but not open source, and it is published under All rights reserved for 1.21.6 – 26.2.
