Subtitle Mod

by Banned Studios

Subtitle Mod, by Banned Studios, lets players and server owners control how on-screen subtitles look and behave through a command and client settings.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverCreative Commons Attribution 4.01.20 – 26.2

What it does

A subtitle is generated through a command and shown with a transparent background. Padding, text scale, border spacing and background color can all be changed, so a player can shape how subtitles appear on screen. The mod requires CatoAPI and Fabric API, runs on the client and server, and is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 23 release versions, 1.20 – 26.2, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. It is not open source.

Key features

  1. Transparent subtitle background

Subtitles are drawn over a transparent background that players can size and tint to suit the screen.

  2. Command-driven subtitles

A command generates a subtitle, and a second message can replace the current one with a set display time.

  3. Line and color formatting

Lines can be separated and color-coded, so each message reads clearly during a scene or sequence.
