CatoAPI
CatoAPI is a library that provides shared code, a packet system and version-adaptive methods for Banned Studios projects and their plugins.
What it does
CatoAPI is a personal API used mostly by Katto's Banned Studios projects. It gathers helper tools that make building and maintaining mods and plugins less work, and it includes utilities shared across those projects. Its packet system already handles networking between mods and plugins, so the connection between them does not have to be built separately.
The API is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and for the server platforms Paper, Spigot, Bukkit and Purpur. Builds cover 1.20.1 – 26.2, and a universal file is compatible with mod and plugin use. Its methods adapt to the game version, which avoids large changes when the target version moves. Both the mod and plugin components use similar methods to keep projects consistent. Fabric API is required, and the Command API plugin is needed when CatoAPI runs on a server plugin setup. The code is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 and is not open source.
