SpindleMark
by exaptations
With SpindleMark, players place music files into a game directory and get custom discs in the creative tab without writing any code.
What it does
SpindleMark scans its music directory when the game loads and turns each supported audio file into a disc item. Discs get colors generated at random, and the author and title are read from the audio tags, so each disc shows its own name. Play length is tracked tick-accurately, and the F3+T reload command rebuilds the music list without restarting the game. Version 1.1.0 adds built-in discs defined through JSON files, so a modpack can ship its own discs and place them in the Creative menu.
The mod needs Fabric API and runs on both client and server, so the server and every player need it. Only one item is registered, and the server stays unaware of the individual discs, which keeps updates and prototyping simple. NBT-savvy users can make discs play a sound event in the game. Module files can optionally be compressed with BZip2, using a library bundled with the mod that Vanilla does not ship with. SpindleMark is released under the MIT License, with its source code and issue tracker public. Files exist for 1.20 and 1.20.1, with 1.1.0 for 1.20.1 as the latest Fabric and Quilt build from 2023-08-18.

What the author says
SpindleMark is a quick way to add music discs to modpacks. Simply drop any Ogg Vorbis, XM, S3M, or MOD file into the new music directory in your game directory, and it will be scanned and discovered, appearing in a new creative tab.
