Jamming
Jamming adds music discs, a disc cutter and a set of musical instruments to Minecraft, with a Chiseled Disc Rack for displaying them.
What it does
The mod is about music. A new Empty Disc item lets players craft music discs, and a Disc Cutter turns the resulting discs into songs. The 51 discs added by the mod carry in-game songs, and a Chiseled Disc Rack or a Chiseled Bookshelf holding 10 discs keeps a collection on display. A Personal Disc Player works like a portable jukebox.
Musical instruments are the other half of the mod, with 16 instruments added beside the vanilla Note Block. A Tuning Fork sets a Note Block's pitch, and the instruments play at different pitches depending on the player's y-axis view. A Personal Book Reader uses Minecraft's narrator to read books aloud. Jamming needs Fabric API and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt on 1.20.1 and 1.20.4, under the MIT License, and the mod is not open source.

Craftable music discs
Empty Discs can be crafted into music discs, and the Disc Cutter appears in the Recipe Book once a piece of flint is picked up.
Disc Cutter trade
A new Melophile Villager sells the Disc Cutter, which makes the trade a route into the disc system.
Musical instruments
Sixteen instruments are added beside the vanilla Note Block, and a Tuning Fork sets the pitch of a Note Block.
Personal Book Reader
Books can be read aloud through Minecraft's built-in narrator, without a separate audio resource.

Moar Discs covers 1.20 – 1.20.2 on Fabric and Quilt and is licensed as All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Crafty's 2025 Music Disc Mod is Fabric only for 1.20.1 and is also All rights reserved. A bit more Music Discs! is server-side only, so players can join without installing it, and Pancake Productions: Music Discs is All rights reserved for 1.20.1 on Fabric and Quilt.
