Spell Power Attributes
With Spell Power Attributes installed, magic damage and critical strikes are driven by new entity attributes that other mods can read and modify.
What it does
The library adds spell power attributes for individual magic schools, such as spell power:fire, along with a universal Spell Power attribute that raises damage from every school. It also adds spell critical chance, spell critical damage and spell haste, and each introduced attribute has its own matching identifier. Status effects and enchantments that change these values come with icons and descriptions, and all enchantments can be configured.
The library exposes an API that calculates the spell damage of an entity from its attributes, status effects and enchantments, and it supplies the critical strike chance and multiplier. Critical strikes are decided by random chance and powered by the secondary attributes. Server-side settings live in the config directory after the game has run with the mod installed. Spell Power Attributes requires Fabric API on Fabric. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files covering 1.19 – 26.3 across 11 release versions, and the code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
Key features
School spell power
A separate spell power attribute exists for each magic school, such as spell power:fire for fire damage.
Universal Spell Power
A single Spell Power attribute increases damage from all spells, and school-limited variants such as Sunfire affect only chosen schools.
Critical strikes
Spell critical chance and spell critical damage control how often and how hard spells critically strike.
Spell haste
The spell haste attribute can shorten spell casting time or cooldowns.

Use cases
Modpack spell balancing
Modpack authors can tune spell damage and critical values through attributes, status effects and enchantments without writing their own calculations.
Spell mod integration
Mods that add spells can query the spell damage API of an entity to apply the same attribute-based damage rules.
Who it’s for: Modpack authors and developers of magic mods who want shared spell power attributes. Server owners who want to adjust the enchantments and attributes through the config files will also find it useful.

What the author says
(Note: the design intent is to stay native to Minecraft, but establish Warcraft like magic schools. So no classic 4 element schools are implemented, besides fire.) The library offers an API to query spell damage of an entity (based on its attributes, status effects, enchantments), and provides critical strike chance…
