Skyboxify
Skyboxify lets players use OptiFine-style skies on Fabric 1.21 and later, replacing the default sky with custom sky textures.
What it does
The mod reads sky definitions in the format used by OptiFine and applies them to the sky in the world. Players who already own a resource pack with OptiFine skies can use it without converting files. Skies are shown only on the client, so a server needs nothing installed to let its players see them.
Skyboxify requires Fabric API and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), and Mod Menu is optional for opening its settings from the menu list. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code, issue tracker and wiki are public. Builds cover game versions 1.21 – 26.3 across 17 release versions, with snapshot builds published as well. The latest Fabric file is 3.4 for 26.3, published 2026-09-18.

Use cases
Playing a custom sky set
A player who has a sky pack from another source can load it in a Fabric 1.21 or later world without changing the pack files.
Multiplayer without server changes
Players on a server that does not run the mod can still use their own skies, since the mod is client-side only.
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric who want OptiFine-style skies, and resource pack authors who ship sky definitions for those players.
How it compares
Vidalia is a Fabric mod for 1.21.4 – 26.3 under a custom license that is not open source, and it is client-side only, like Skyboxify. Skyloom is a Fabric client-side mod limited to 1.21.9 – 1.21.11 under the MIT License, but it is not open source. Horizon is open source under the MIT License and runs on Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.21.9 – 26.1.2, a wider loader and version set than Skyboxify's Fabric-only builds.
