What it does

Horizon brings custom skybox support to Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt. It is a port of the FabricSkyboxes project for versions 1.21.9 – 26.1.2, and it is client-side only, so a server never needs it. The source code is open, under the MIT License.

The project was started because the original FabricSkyboxes owner had fallen behind on updates for newer versions, and the fork's author wanted the skybox feature available on current releases. Builds exist for 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1 and 26.1.2, with the latest Fabric and Quilt file dated 2026-04-26 and the latest NeoForge file dated 2026-02-11.

The author notes that the original mod still exists and that the fork's maintainer plans to keep it going until the original project catches up. The author also suggests other skybox packs for players who want a different setup.
