With SkillZ, players gain levels from play and gain access to equipment, blocks and enchantments as their skill grows on Fabric 1.20.1.
What it does
SkillZ is a leveling system for Fabric 1.20.1. It ports the LevelZ progression model to this version, and its level screen has been redone. Players can only use certain items, blocks and enchantments once their skill reaches the required level, and restricted blocks can be highlighted in the world. Hand interactions with blocks can also be limited through configuration.
The mod is a client and server mod, so the server and every player need it. Its config system syncs settings from the server to connected clients. Restriction screens appear through book widgets, and a tooltip explains which skill a restricted item requires. Restriction rules can be set for items, blocks and enchantments.
Installation requires Attribute Backport, Fzzy Config, TabAPI and UltraLib, all on Fabric. SkillZ is published for Fabric only, for 1.20.1, and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, so it is open source.
