SimpleVoice-Geyser
by Saraose
SimpleVoice-Geyser lets Bedrock players on Geyser servers use proximity voice chat from Simple Voice Chat, even though Bedrock clients cannot install Java mods.
What it does
Simple Voice Chat is a Java voice mod, and Bedrock Edition players cannot load Java client-side mods. This project extends Simple Voice Chat to Bedrock players by running as a Bukkit plugin on Geyser servers, so those players can talk by proximity without any extra client setup. Before this work, server owners had to choose between keeping Bedrock players out of voice chat and asking them to do complicated setup.
Installation is meant to stay simple: the plugin goes on the server alongside Simple Voice Chat, and Bedrock players join as usual. The mod is published for Fabric and also runs on Paper, Spigot, Bukkit and Purpur. It is released under the MIT License and is open source. Builds cover 1.20.1 – 26.2, with 0.1.4 for 26.2 as the latest Fabric file, and Simple Voice Chat is required.
Key features
Bedrock proximity voice
Bedrock players on a Geyser server can use the same proximity voice chat as Java players.
No client mods for Bedrock
Bedrock players join without installing anything on their device, since the bridge runs on the server.
Java and Bedrock together
Java and Bedrock players share one voice channel, so mixed servers do not split into separate groups.
