Geyser
by GeyserMC
With Geyser installed on a Java server, Bedrock Edition players can join and play alongside Java players, closing the gap between the two editions.
What it does
Geyser translates traffic between Bedrock Edition clients and Java Edition servers, so players on either edition share one world. The mod is installed on the server side only, and players need nothing extra on their own devices.
Geyser is published for Fabric and NeoForge across 35 release versions, 1.16.5 – 26.3. It is also available for the Paper, Spigot, Velocity and BungeeCord server platforms. Fabric API is a required dependency on Fabric, and Bedframe is one of the 1 other mods that require Geyser. The code is under the MIT License and is open source, with a public source repository, issue tracker and wiki.
Key features
Cross-edition connections
Bedrock Edition clients can connect to a Java Edition server that runs Geyser, without a separate Bedrock server.
Movement handling
Player movement is translated between the two editions so that it stays close to the expected behavior on the Java side.
Entity flags
Several entity flags are translated between the editions, which covers how mobs and players appear on each client.
Adventure text library
Chat and text components are rendered through the Adventure text library so that formatting carries across both editions.

Use cases
Mixed-edition servers
A server can accept players from both editions, so friends on phones, consoles and PCs can join the same world.
Proxy setups
Geyser also runs on Velocity and BungeeCord, letting a network route Bedrock players to the right backend server.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want Bedrock Edition players on a Java server, and players who play on Bedrock Edition and want to join Java servers.
How it compares
Craftable Bedrock-bedrock recipe is a server-side mod for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, covering 1.12 – 26.1.1, under All rights reserved and not open source, so it adds a recipe rather than cross-edition access. Bedrock Coordinates is a client-side Fabric mod for 1.21.1 – 26.3 under the MIT License and open source, and it shows coordinates without any proxy role.
