Simpler Keybinds replaces the usual key list with a radial wheel: a single key opens it, and the player picks an action from up to four slots.

What it does

Holding the open key brings up the radial wheel. The player moves the mouse into one of four quadrants, releases the key, and the action in that slot fires. Each choice runs as if its key had been pressed, so the action works even when the underlying key is bound elsewhere. Up to three wheels can be configured, each with four slots placed top-right, bottom-right, bottom-left and top-left.

Pressing C opens the config screen, and a separate key can be bound to it. Clicking a slot selects it, and a custom display name can be typed in a text box that appears below. A blank name shows the binding's own name on the wheel. Pressing Delete clears a slot's binding and Escape returns to the wheel. Changes save automatically to the config folder.

The client needs Fabric API on Fabric, and the mod is distributed for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. It requires Java 21 on the 1.21.x line and on 26.1 and later, and Java 17 on the 1.17 line through 1.20.6. Builds before 1.17 need Java 8. Simpler Keybinds is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and is client-side only.

    Three separate wheels can be set up, each holding four slots that can be bound to different actions.

  3. Custom slot names

    A slot can carry a typed display name, which replaces the binding's own name on the wheel.

  4. Simulated key presses

    A slot triggers its action as a direct keypress, so it still works when the underlying key is bound to something else.
