Simple Armor Hud

Simple Armor Hud shows the armor a player is currently wearing above the food bar, so the armor value stays visible during play.
What it does
Armor pieces worn by the player appear in a row above the food bar on the in-game screen. Because the display sits in the heads-up overlay, a player can check protection without opening the inventory.
The mod runs on the client alone, so only the player who installs it sees the display. It is installed on the player's side alone, so servers need nothing. Simple Armor Hud is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only and is open source. Its source code, issue tracker and wiki are linked publicly.
Installation requires Fabric API on the Fabric loader. Files are published for 21 release versions, 1.19.4 – 26.2, and snapshot builds are published as well. The latest Fabric file is 1.10.0-26.2 for 26.2, dated 2026-06-17.

Checking protection in battle
A player fighting mobs can see at a glance which armor pieces remain before a fight.
Monitoring durability
The row shows worn armor, so a player can notice a damaged piece without opening the inventory.
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric who want armor shown in the main play view. Players on other loaders need a different mod, since Simple Armor Hud is published for Fabric only.
