Fresh Armor Bar
by ZeroXXII
On the client, Fresh Armor Bar reworks the vanilla armor display, so each armor piece appears with crisper icons and a layout that is easier to read at a glance.
What it does
Players who want a clearer armor display can install Fresh Armor Bar on Fabric. The display stays close to the vanilla design while giving every armor material its own look, listing enchantments on worn pieces, and highlighting trims and effects the moment a piece takes damage or is mended. Every effect can be turned on or off on its own in the configuration.
Only the client needs the mod, so servers run without installing it and players can join any server with it. It is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with the source code published. Builds exist for 1.20 – 26.3, and the latest Fabric file is 2.2-26.3 for 26.3, published on 2026-09-23. Mod Menu is optional and opens the configuration screen from the Mods menu.
Key features
Material-specific armor icons
Each armor material keeps its own visual identity in the HUD, so the bar tells pieces apart at a glance.
Enchantment display
Enchantments on worn armor are shown in the bar, so their presence is visible without opening the inventory.
Damage and repair feedback
Trims and effects change on the HUD the moment a piece is damaged or restored, with each effect configurable.
Resource pack support
Resource packs can swap out armor icons, trim textures and enchantment effects for modded materials, and the Resource Pack Guide documents the texture paths and file names involved.
