Rune Essence
Rune Essence adds a crafting resource for Fabric on Minecraft 1.20.1, with Pure Essence obtained from mining and used to craft runes.
What it does
Pure Essence comes from breaking Rune Essence Ore, which generates in the Overworld and has a deepslate variant. Breaking it gives a new material that opens up rune recipes which were not available before. Newly tagged reagents, both small and medium, add further ways to craft runes, and Talismans can raise the yield of the crafting process.
Lightning Soul Runes can be crafted in normal form and in higher-yield forms, either by hand or at an altar. Recipes have been unified to reduce overlap between items, and a view-recipes feature shows the current content. Pure Essence uses an animated texture. The mod requires Fabric API. Its optional companions are Elemental Wizards (RPG Series Plus) and Runes, and the Runes Spell Engine add-on works with it.
Rune Essence runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.20.1 only, with 1.0.1 for 1.20.1 as the latest Fabric file, published on 2024-06-03. The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and the project has public links to its source, issue tracker and wiki.
