Runic Enchanting
by brotazoa
Runic Enchanting lets players craft enchanted books from runes gathered across the world, using a Rune Enchanting Table and a Rune Scribing Table.
What it does
Rune blocks are mined from these structures and then used on the Scribing Table, where a Chalk block held in the offhand allows a rune block to be turned into a rune page. Rune pages are then combined in a sequence on the Rune Enchanting Table to produce an enchanted book.
Each rune block must sit within range of the Scribing Table while a rune page is being written, much like how bookshelves feed the vanilla enchanting table. Rune blocks mined with Silk Touch drop their chiseled block variant, and a Chisel can be used to shape a block into a rune block. Fabric API is required, and the mod runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is open source under the MIT License, and it is published for Fabric only, across 1.19.2 and 1.20.1, with the latest file for 1.20.1.
