Random Item Generator Resurrected
by Dnydd
Random Item Generator Resurrected replaces the drops from broken blocks with random items, enchanted books, entities or chest loot tables.
What it does
When a player breaks a block, Random Item Generator Resurrected can swap the usual drop for something picked at random. The pool can be random items from any loaded mod, a random enchanted book, a roll on a chest loot table, or a spawned entity with built-in filters to keep results manageable. Silk Touch still returns the block itself and Fortune still increases the number of drops, so the enchantments keep their usual role.
Since it runs on client and server, both the server and every player need it installed. Forge files cover 1.12.2 and NeoForge files cover 1.21.1, and the code is not open source: it is released under All rights reserved, and the author's issue tracker is the public place for reports.
Key features
Random item drops
Each broken block can drop a random item taken from any loaded mod, which turns ordinary mining into a lottery.
Random enchanted books
A block break can produce a random enchanted book instead of its normal drop.
Random chest loot
Breaking a block rolls a random chest loot table and drops its contents, so loot is not limited to chests.
Random entity spawns
Breaking a block can summon a random entity, and built-in filters restrict which mobs may appear.
Silk Touch and Fortune
Silk Touch still returns the block itself and Fortune still raises the number of drops.

Use cases
Surprise mining
Players who want mining to feel unpredictable can let every break roll a different result.
Modpack randomizers
Pack makers can use the random pools to add chaos to a survival progression.
Who it’s for: Survival players and modpack makers who want block breaks to produce unpredictable drops. Servers that run it must also install it on the client.

Stack Enchants is server required and client optional, works on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.20 – 1.21.4, and is not open source.
