Random Items Command

by Mel1x

Random Items Command gives server operators a /getRandomItem command that hands a player a random item from the installed mods.

ForgeNeoForgeServer-side onlyAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 26.3

What it does

Once installed on a server, the command can be run with no parameters, and it returns one random item drawn from the items that the installed mods register. Operators can also pass a quantity, so the command gives a set of random items instead of one. A single result can be as large as one full stack, which lets the command drop a mix of different items in one call.

The command is useful on servers that run many mods and want players to find content they might not otherwise discover, or for testing items across a modpack. Because it is a command, it is typed in chat or a command block and needs no client-side part. The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 26.3 released 2026-10-09, and its game versions span 1.20.1 – 26.3.
