With Redaction installed, the hotbar stretches across the full width of the screen, and inventory slots and the title screen get several small visual tweaks.
What it does
Redaction is a collection of small visual changes to the client. Its hotbar is flat and runs the full width of the window. Snow can be drawn behind the inventory screen, and the item highlight, bar colors and slot numbers can be adjusted in the settings.
The title screen gets a button that rejoins the last server the player used. Direct Connect shows a live preview of a server while the address is typed. A separate option changes the field of view for the hand and the held item. Only the player's own client runs the mod, so a server does not need it and players join without installing anything extra.
Redaction is published for Fabric, Forge and Ornithe, with game versions 1.8.9 – 26.3 across 12 release versions. The Fabric file needs Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, and all loaders need OneConfig, which the mod bundles. The code is under a custom license and is not open source, though the source code and issue tracker are public.
