Right Click Fixer makes a block placed from the offhand fall back to the main hand when the first attempt is blocked, so torches can be placed without switching slots.

What it does

When a right click with the main hand cannot place a block, for example where a colliding block would be blocked, the mod lets the offhand try again on a valid, non-colliding spot. Players who keep torches or other blocks in the offhand can place them without changing the selected slot, which the author estimates saves about two seconds per 24 hours of play. The mod is client-side only, so a server does not need it and players join without installing it. It is published for Fabric across 23 release versions, 1.20 – 26.2, and the code is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, so it is open source.

Key features

  1. Offhand block placement

    Blocks held in the offhand are placed when the main hand right click does not succeed.

  2. Torch placement

    Torches can be placed in spots the main hand cannot reach without changing the selected slot.

  3. Fallback on blocked spots

    When the main hand use fails against a space filled with a block entity, the offhand use is checked next.
