Project: Edgerunner - Cyberpunk
by A24-N22
Project: Edgerunner - Cyberpunk brings a cyberware augmentation system to Forge for 1.20.1, with implants installed through a Ripperdoc and fitted into the player's body.
What it does
Players install cyberware implants that boost stats, but pushing those boosts too far carries the risk of Cyberpsychosis. Chrome has consequences: each installed implant adds load to the body, and the more cyberware is installed, the sooner the descent into Cyberpsychosis begins. Implants are crafted at a Tailoring Bench and installed through the Ripperdoc, and the Palladium upgrade tree tracks progression alongside them.
The mod leans on speed control and tactical scanning. Sandevistan implants range from slowdown of 20% to 85%, each with its own cooldown, damage bonus or duration rule, and kills can cut cyberware cooldowns to help refill the Sandevistan charge. Basic Kiroshi Optics add visor health readouts, 2x to 6x optical zoom and night vision that highlights hostile targets through cover. Face cyberware visuals can be customized with skins in the config.
Edgerunner needs Geckolib, KubeJS, Modonomicon and Palladium to run. The Palladium addon sits on top of Palladium's systems, and the Cyberware Painting Station lets players customize implant appearance. Tested compatibility with Timeless Classics Zero TaCZ is noted by the author. The mod is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 License and is not open source. It runs on Forge with client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for 1.20.1 only, and the latest file is 1.1.2 in the beta channel.
